This modern residential apartment interior design stands out with its focus on environmentalism and eclectic style. The use of environmentally friendly materials not only benefits the planet but also contributes to a healthy living environment. The design brings together various elements to add softness and comfort to the dining room, creates an intimate bathroom and a playful camp cabin theme for the children's room, and promotes feng shui principles while maximizing storage capacity throughout the residence. Wooden planks offer warmth, while cinder blocks allow for interaction between rooms. The use of marble flooring enhances the visual partitioning of space.
The realization of this design incorporates advanced technology to ensure a healthy living environment. A full heat exchanger removes pollutants and brings in fresh air, while a comprehensive water purification system provides pure water for all purposes. The design maximizes natural light by minimizing the use of drapes and tinted windows, preventing global warming. Terrazzo flooring not only adds style but also reduces natural waste. The use of eggshell paint helps absorb toxic gases and assists in energy conservation. Titanium plating, achieved through vacuum ion technology, offers durability and resistance to moisture, stains, rust, mildew, and fading.
The specifications of this design include a design area of 165 square meters, with 50 square meters of terrazzo flooring, 60 square meters of wood flooring, and 23 square meters of painted flooring.
This environmentally eclectic design showcases the successful integration of design and nature. By minimizing its impact on the environment and creating a safe living environment, it sets an example for sustainable living. The design not only protects the sun, atmosphere, and natural resources but also fosters a healthy living environment. With advanced technology, the design ensures healthy air and water quality, while special paint regulates humidity and enhances lighting, reducing the need for excessive wattage.
The Environmentally Eclectic design project took place from October 2019 to September 2020 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The designer, Ting Chung, collaborated with Li Chung and Yu-Chu Hsieh to bring this design to life.
This design is a testament to the careful research and consideration that went into its creation. With the goal of minimizing the impact of architecture and interior design on global warming, the design focuses on the scale of design, types of materials, and use of space. The eclectic style brings together various elements, resulting in a design that shines with environmentalism and uniqueness.
Designing the children's room posed a challenge for the designer. Taking inspiration from Australian wooden houses and camping cabins, Chung created a slanted ceiling and bunk bed design that reflects a fun and lively atmosphere that children adore. The use of white paint adds a playful innocence and allows for easy repainting. The high ceiling in the bed area allows for flexible redesign as the child grows older, making it both practical and versatile.
The Environmentally Eclectic design is a testament to the successful integration of environmentalism and eclectic style. By incorporating environmentally friendly materials and advanced technology, this design not only creates a visually stunning space but also promotes a healthy and sustainable living environment.
